Sometimes It's the Smallest Items of Clothing That Make the Biggest Difference
Let's be honest. Underwear probably isn't the first thing most people think about when they think about eczema. Usually it's bedding, pyjamas or outer clothing. Yet underwear is one of the few garments we wear from the moment we get dressed until the moment we change into our nightwear.
If you've got sensitive skin, that's a long time for rough seams, synthetic fabrics or an uncomfortable waistband to rub against you. Individually those things might seem insignificant. Together they can make an already uncomfortable day feel even longer.
Why Underwear Matters More Than People Realise
When we think about skincare, we naturally focus on creams, moisturisers and treatments. Clothing can sometimes become an afterthought. But underwear sits next to some of the most sensitive areas of our body for hours at a time.
If it traps heat, rubs repeatedly or simply doesn't fit well, you notice it. That's why choosing softer fabrics and thoughtful construction isn't just about comfort, it's about removing small irritations that can build up throughout the day. We can't promise perfect skin, but we can help make one everyday decision a little easier.
Listening Before Designing
Before we designed anything, we listened. Customers told us they struggled to find underwear that balanced softness, breathability and support. Some pairs felt nice at first but became uncomfortable after a full day. Others looked good but weren't particularly kind to sensitive skin.

Rather than trying to reinvent underwear, we focused on solving those everyday frustrations. Every decision was guided by real conversations with the people we exist to help.
One thing became obvious surprisingly quickly. People rarely talked about one major problem. Instead, they described lots of little frustrations. Waistbands that felt restrictive and irritating. Labels that constantly rubbed. Fabrics that became hot during the day. Seams you couldn't stop feeling.
None of those things cause eczema on their own. But if your skin is already irritated, they
certainly don't help. That's really where this collection began. We wanted to remove as many of those little frustrations as possible.
Introducing Our New Men's Boxers and Trunks
Instead of producing one style, we launched two. Our relaxed-fit boxers are ideal if you enjoy freedom of movement, while our trunks provide extra support and help reduce chafing. Both are made using soft organic cotton and designed with the same skin-friendly philosophy.

Every Design Decision Had a Purpose
Every feature was chosen for a reason. We selected 100% organic cotton for softness and breathability plus ease of washing, added flat seams to reduce friction, removed internal labels and included an adjustable drawstring to avoid scratchy elastic for a more comfortable yet personalised fit.
These aren't features added for the sake of marketing. They're practical decisions based on years of listening to people living with eczema.
Why We Didn't Just Continue to Sell Somebody Else's Underwear
It would certainly have been easier to stock somebody else's products. And we’ve done this in the past, but they each have their slight limitations. So we wanted to create something that reflected everything we'd learnt over the years and addressed all the issues.
Designing our own range allowed us to focus on the details that matter to our customers rather than compromising. It meant choosing the fabrics we believed in, deciding how the garments should fit and ensuring every feature had a purpose. We wanted these products to feel like a natural extension of everything Cotton Comfort (our in-house brand) and Eczema Clothing (our platform) stands for.
Boxers or Trunks?
If you enjoy a looser fit, our boxers are probably the better choice. If you prefer more support throughout the day, our trunks may suit you best. Whichever you choose, you're getting the same careful attention to comfort and sensitive skin.

Designed to Support, Not Cure
No item of clothing can cure eczema and we'd never suggest otherwise. What good clothing can do is remove unnecessary irritation. Softer fabrics, breathable cotton and thoughtful construction won't replace a skincare routine, but they can help make getting dressed that little bit more comfortable.
Final Thoughts
Launching our own men's underwear range is about much more than adding another product to our website. It's about taking everything we've learnt from our customers and putting it into something practical that people can wear every day.
